The P01 is the watch people argue about, and that is part of the appeal. It is based on the “Commando,” a Tudor prototype made for the U.S. Navy in the late 1960s that never went into production. This is a 2023 example, pre-owned in excellent condition and complete with box and papers.
The history shows up in the hardware. It is a 42mm steel case with a patented end-link and locking system, a hinged bidirectional 12-hour bezel worked through the crown-guard piece at 4 o’clock, and a matte black dial with the snowflake hand. Inside is the MT5612, a COSC-certified movement with about 70 hours of reserve, and it is water resistant to 200 meters.
